When Will It End…

“Please. Please. I can’t breathe. Please. I can’t move.” Some of the last words that came out of yet, another unarmed black man in these United States of America being arrested for suspected forgery and claims of resisting arrest. The officers were able to handcuff him successful. Yet, one white officer placed his knee, and whole body weight, on this man’s neck, while he’s handcuffed laying on the ground, for several minutes until he was no longer conscious. Not just passed out unconscious. Dead, unconscious. How does that even sit well with a person? How is someone comfortable knowing that they killed an innocent, unarmed person? How is someone comfortable with lying about the fact that they killed someone? How do people go on about their day like nothing ever happened?

I know some people are going to argue behind the word, innocent. You know, the “if he wasn’t “disobeying the law” he would probably still be alive” people. Or, “they shouldn’t be doing this or that” type people. From my understanding of what I’ve read thus far, George Floyd was arrested because he matched the description of someone that was committing forgery at a store. Regardless, if that’s true or not, forgery shouldn’t result in death. In my opinion, resisting arrest shouldn’t result in death. Running away from the cops, shouldn’t result in death. Sitting inside your own home, shouldn’t result in death. Selling loose cigarettes, shouldn’t result in death. Selling bootleg cds/dvds, shouldn’t result in death. Talking back to the cops, shouldn’t result in death. Playing loud music, shouldn’t result in death. Leaving a party, shouldn’t result in death. Sitting in your car reaching for something a police officer asked for, shouldn’t result in death. Walking home peacefully, shouldn’t result in death. Asking for help, shouldn’t result in death. Taking a jog/exercising, shouldn’t result in death. In my opinion, the only action that could result in potential death is, death itself. Meaning, if someone is aiming, or charging, to actually kill you. And let me clarify that, if someone is walking/running towards multiple cops, who have their weapons already drawn, with a knife….should not result in death. How much harm can one person with one pocket knife do to multiple police officers with active guns?! I’m talking about actually guns. I have to make this as crystal clear as possible, because people can be so naïve and dumb trying to play devil’s advocate.

You know what’s crazy…..it’s not just the police officers. It’s these everyday local jokes. It’s the George Zimmerman’s, Michael Dunn’s, Gregory McMichael’s, the whole judicial system towards minorities and so many more that roam the many streets of these United States of America. The ones who think that somehow everybody who doesn’t look like them or sound like them, don’t belong within society. The ones like Carolyn Bryant Donham, whose lies caused the life of an innocent black teenager. What makes the color of my skin, or my sons’ skin, make you feel so inferior?! Are you really that scared of a color?! A color. A Color!! I mean, damn….A COLOR!!!

To my fellow African-Americans/Blacks (in my Barack Obama voice 😏), how long do you think peaceful protesting is going to make a change? How long do you think that just posting about the injustice, while it’s hot, is going to make a change? I’m talking to myself as well. How long are we going to tell our children to stay in school and get their education? What are we telling them to go to school for? Just to pass and get a diploma to work at a basic job and continue this horrific cycle of poverty? Why are we settling for less than and then get enraged when treated as such? When are we going to legitimately, come together and use the true power that we possess? We can’t keep standing on the sidelines yelling, clapping, screaming, stomping, singing and praying. Something has to give. And, something has to change. We can’t keep dying from police brutality, racial injustice, poverty, diseases, violence and drugs. We can’t!! The United States is already divided as is. Therefore, we MUST come together as one and make the lives that we have much better for US. If we don’t come together and do it, best believe NOBODY ELSE IN THIS COUNTRY WILL DO IT FOR US! And, that’s facts! We have to be the reason, cause and effect of the change that we desire! It starts with us….U.N.I.T.Y.

I’m tired of all this unnecessary bullshit……

“You can’t separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom.” “

The American Negro never can be blamed for his racial animosities – he is only reacting to 400 years of the conscious racism of the American whites.” – Malcolm X

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Anyway I don’t think we can rely on governments, regardless of who is in power, to do the work that only mass movements can do.”
